Pakistan Flag: The Constituent Assembly of Pakistan approved the national flag of Pakistan on 11th August 1947. It was hoisted in Karachi and the four provincial capitals on 14th August 1947.

The crescent and star were adopted as its main motif as they were in the flag of the movement but a white bar was added to the flag of the Muslim League in order to represent the minority religions of the country. The flag is a dark green with a white vertical bar, a white crescent and a five-pointed heraldic star. the green and white field represents peace and prosperity for all Pakistan's people, the crescent represents progress, and the five-rayed star represents light and knowledge.
